| This is going to sound really....um...stupid....but today, for the first time in my life, I missed a school athletic function for reasons other than being sick or out of town. I actually attended school and missed a track meet. While the majority of the school was gone, I sat through classes.....like any other normal day...but with noone else there. Stupid laws. 10 extracurricular absences isn't really enough for those "overachievers" like myself. So, all day long, I was bored out of my mind. Hope all of you that went were bored without me. Then I came home. Nothing to do. Everyone is out of town. By everyone....I literally mean EVERYONE. Came home with every intention of getting some things done. Ate an orange, got mad at myself for wanting to eat more, did crunches for about an hour instead. Watched Spiderman, I love that movie. Went in my room and watched CSI, at least the commercial before it, by the time it came on I was snoozing. Fairly boring day. Welcome to small towns. God Bless. | | |
| Home room. Mrs. J's busy. A choice? Tough decision....book work or computers to keep busy....guess you know my answer.
Feel aweful. Stuffy nose, sore throat, my body is weighing me down. Sick. I despise sickness. Played tennis in the cold rain yesterday, wonder if that has anything to do with it? I won. Something good came out of feeling this crappy. The other girls sucked...but noone has to know that. Except you guys of course. Read my prose aloud for the first time yesterday. Gave me chills. It took all I had to keep from crying, I was that into character. It comes so natural to change myself and become the other person sometimes that it scares me. Mrs. Holland had a few encouraging words before she tore it apart and told me what to fix. T'was to be expected I guess. She wants me to make it to state. I'm just worried about making it to district finals in a new district this year. Greater competition, Greater worry.
I often find myself lost in a dream, far from the worries of the world. It's then, when time stands still and all the world is makebelieve, that I am confident and sure of myself and my capabilities. Reality flashes back with all of the sin and frustration of the world, and perfection is no longer and option. Leaving me as lost and alone as before. God Bless.
| Numbers control my life.
52 school days until the end of my high school life, 40 days til our prom and I get to see him again, 6 weeks until his. 9 lazy seniors, myself included, who cant seem to get any fundraising done. One Million things I have to do to get my future all set up and ready for me this fall. 3,000 dollars I still have to pay a semester. 3 1/2 days I have left to miss school for academic and/or athletic purposes. 6 minutes late showering due to distractions.... 3 hour movie during which I fell asleep. About 5 steps on the ladder we used to get on the roof. 16 acts, 4th place. 1400 dollars raised. About 50 calculus problems I have to get done. 24 hours a day that my mind wanders.....from the things I should be doing....to things 2 1/2 hours away. God Bless
| It feels amazing to be home, for five minutes. Due to an early return I was able to stop by my house for a few momentos, which allows me to comment on my excellent trip! Living in a snow globe was wonderful. Never in my life have I felt so small. Standing at the foot of a snow covered masterpiece, the signature of the one and only Creater could be found every where I turned. I fell a little over 2,000 times before I was able to ski. Every time, though at times I felt like crying, I got back up, and thanked God it was snow I had just fallen in, and for RJ being there to pick me up and force me to keep going. By lunch of the first day I had pretty well gotten the hang of it. Thanks to the Bald Preacher for the amazing devos and to Jack and Loree for letting me go. Other flashbacks..... acidic coffee, mow, male make-out sessions, skating rinks, frisbees, deep snow banks *that dont look so deep*, snow storms on the summit, crazy wipeouts, DADDY?!, slow ski lifts, pathetic pirate posers, fire alarms, duct tape, "must remove your shoes", dangett, Happy Birthday, uncomfortable seats, tons of movies, stuffed theiving monkeys, great friends to keep you company. This was a great trip! I luv all of you. Now, I'm off to go camping with mi familia. God Bless! | | |
